Craig Love is a visual artist whose primary painterly concerns investigate his relationship towards enculturated notions of vision, perception and language. The attempt is to make thoughts and experiences visible. Processes related to translation, transcription and the involuntary misdirection resulting from close-looking. Of particular interest is the tendency of both painted and written language to find their resting state nestled uncomfortably in approximation and abstraction. Also, humor is extremely welcome.

He lives and works in Winnipeg, Canada with his partner Janet and their dog Lu.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Until paintings are out of my possession, they are subject to change. Therefore, what you see here may not be their current semblance.
